Mecom uses its own technical office with specialized and qualified personnel from years of experience in the mold sector , supported with important CAD CAM CAE software systems for design and casting simulations all constantly updated.
It is able to meet all 2D or 3D design requirements for molds up to medium size in the die-casting sector with cold chamber injection for aluminum and brass, hot chamber for zamak and injection molds for molding plastic materials.
In support of customers, consolidated experience is made available to advise on the type of mold suitable for the production of the particular to obtain a production process that is as stable and durable as possible.
Not least is the attention to the continuous evolution of the standardized sub-supply market to use products and solutions of excellent quality that allow the availability of a spare part and above all a tested operation.
Co-Design
Starting from the customer's idea, Mecom's technical team can collaborate in Co-Design to develop the idea by providing the best advice and suggestions, based on the requests and needs submitted. The 3D model is then created keeping in mind the feasibility of the object and exploiting the various production processes of die-casting or molding of plastic materials.
Prototyping
Mecom can support the customer in the realization of prototypes milled from solid in various materials, thus providing the 3D prototype with the mechanical characteristics as similar as possible to the object required to be able to test the product and verify its criticality.
The company also has a high precision 3D PRINTER able to print objects in ONYX (Nylon) material which can be added with special material charges such as: CARBON; KEVLAR; GLASS FIBER in order to obtain a prototype with significant mechanical performance and therefore to be able to use it for all the necessary tests.

Simulations
By simulating the entire material injection process in the mold, fundamental technical data can be obtained to design an excellent mold.
This report can provide the printer with the indicative injection parameters for a successful completion of the printed object, also offering information on possible critical issues.
For this reason the company has entered into a collaboration with a qualified external technical study which, through sophisticated simulation software, offers its support to find the best solution for the type of injection.
Reverse Engineering
Starting from a real object, through Reverse Engineering , Mecom is able to reconstruct the 3D mathematics of the piece necessary for the subsequent design and construction of the mold.
For this reason it has a MEASURING ARM with laser scanning head for the survey of surfaces and 2 CMM DEA measuring machines.
Quality check
It has 2 three-dimensional CMM DEA measuring machines and a MEASURING ARM with laser scanning head that are used to check the dimensions or surfaces of the part subjected to dimensional verification.
Qualified technicians can prepare a dimensional report with feedback on the dimensions and tolerances required.
