Moulds design
Mecom employs its own technical department with specialised and qualified personnel with years of experience in the moulding sector, supported by important CAD CAM CAE software systems for design, all of which are constantly updated.
The company is able to meet all 2D or 3D design requirements for moulds up to medium size:
– with cold chamber injection for aluminium and brass
– with hot chamber for zamak
– injection moulds for plastic moulding.
In support of the customer, we offer our consolidated experience to be able to advise what type of mould is suitable for the production of the part, in order to achieve the most stable and durable production process possible.
Mecom pays attention to the continuous evolution of the standardised items subcontract market in order to use top-quality products and solutions that allow for the availability of spare parts and, above all, proven operation.
Mould construction
Good organisation supports the various operators in the mould construction process which, thanks to the various equipment and machinery available, is carried out faithfully following the design and mould specifications provided by the customer. It is however the task of a supervisor to follow and support the various operators in the correct construction process. The order and organisation of our production department reflects our philosophy that everything should be orderly and carefully managed.
In addition to mould making, Mecom is able to carry out maintenance and remake parts of existing moulds, keeping drawings and any electrodes on file. Mecom has developed its production potential for welding, marking and laser engraving processes through the continuous training of technicians capable of designing custom solutions for specific customer applications. The management and selection of the various possible heat treatments according to the various requirements of the mould is crucial. This is why we only use leading companies for the heat treatment of steel, with certificates that comply with the material supplier’s guidelines.
Mechanical processing
The company has a division dedicated to machining die-cast parts made of various alloys such as aluminium, brass and zamak.
